Backdated Videos

On a Side Note...
If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. If you tried and fail, try again. If you fail again and again?

The first 3 videos were taken in Taipei. The last is a compilation of relatively poorly taken videos with many spanning several seconds long. Credits to my Mom, who apparently doesn't have one bit of my Dad's camera skills.

To Go Or Not

On a Side Note...
Being posted to 3SIR isn't that bad after all. It seems as though I'll be having an extremely slack time over there. The next mono intake is in March '09, which means that I'll not be having a busy schedule for the next 4 months. When the mono intake pass out from their BMT, I pass out from my National Service. ORD!

Why can't SiteX be held at Suntec City, like ComeX, IT Show, or PC Show? Yes, the rental fees at Expo is lower, but it is way way further.

I haven't decided if I'm going, but I'm thinking of a list of stuff that I might wanna buy. For now:

Gaming mouse
DVD player

To be updated.

Graduation Parade

On a Side Note...
I've been posted to 3SIR at Selarang Camp, which is goddamn far away from my place =\

And so, after being in Taiwan for 3 weeks, I return back to Singapore to face 1 week of very, very tough parade rehearsals. 10 hours under the sun each day has given me a very uneven tan. But it is well behind me now. I'm not looking forward to counting down the remaining days to my ORD date.

Here are some pictures taken by my parents during my parade.

Taiwan 101

On a Side Note...
Officially a sergeant of the Singapore Armed Forces after 1 year and 5 months into my enlistment. 7 more months to ORD!

Touched down on the 16th at 1 in the morning. It took me a week to find the time to process and upload the following pictures because I was lazy. After 5 months of training, I very much wanted to just rest and relax, and at times like that, blogging is quite the last thing on my mind.

On the very day that I touched down, I turned 21, and Mom turned 56. Baby was there with a sweet surprise, which included a small hand bouquet, new hair, and 21 posts on her blog for each day that we were apart =) My 21st birthday celebration was a simple family dinner, courtesy of me.

Full Family Picture

No wild parties, big gatherings, or frivolous celebrations this year, which is unexpected of. Due to the flight schedule, I didn't have the time to plan for any of those. For the few close friends who remembered my birthday, thank you very much. For those who didn't, it's okay, I didn't think that you would anyway =)

With the Taiwan expenses and the past month's credit card bills, I'm gonna have a very tight budget for Christmas. No Christmas prezzies for many of you I'm afraid. Now back to Taiwan...

I toured around Taiwan (Taipei) for the last 3 days of our trip, visiting places of interest included in the guided tour. The itinerary consisted of Jianfushan Fancyworld (剑湖山世界), National Palace Museum (国立故宮博物院), Windows of China (小人国), and Martyr's Shrine (台北忠烈祠). While Charles very much enjoyed visiting the museum, most of us wished that we could have free time instead.

When I was free, I visited Shilin, Xi Men Ding, Wu Feng Pu, and Taipei 101. Did some shopping (not in Taipei 101), eating, and walking around, which sums up the enjoyable parts. Steve and I wanted to visit the clubs at night, but with our better judgment we decided to stay out of trouble's way. The rest of this post is picture intensive.
